A message in street art – Faith47

South African Street Artist Faith47

Faith47 is a South African artist who compels people to take notice. Her art is found in South Africa, Israel/middle east, South America, Australia, Europe and various areasaround the world. Faith47 has a unique style that encapsulates the true essence of her motivations – each of her pieces unearths the underlying core of society, be that good or bad.

Recent street Art Work

Faith has just recently completed a work titled “’the hearts lonely thunder’ in Tel Aviv, Israel. The image of the distressed horse trying to break free from its restraints is incredibly powerful – a struggle perhaps? Appropriate as to the location of the piece, this resonates throughout her work.

Other Studio Art Pieces

Faith47 has numerous art pieces that have been showcased in various locations, the last being at Antenna Garden 2012 in Melbourne Australia. Faith47 uses various textures such as rustic wood which add amazing character depth to her works. Drawing techniques and wood scratchings can also be observed throughout these works these are through sketches, inks, charcoal and water colours.

Faith47’s Street Art Blog

Check out the info section of faiths blog: Faiths images reconstruct lost objects, broken-down cars, old factories and dusty side roads of forgotten towns. She investigates how humans interact with their environment, what scratches and memories they leave behind. Her interactions resonate with our fragility, with our innate understanding of symbols, dreams, textures and inevitable impermanence (Faith47.com).

Beauty in faces – artist C215

The wonderful world of C215 has been focused solely on the emotions and stories that have been written in peoples faces.

A short interview with the street artist C215 (French)

C215 street art story

Each of his works inhabit the emotions which dictate each colour scheme. Many people consider C215 France’s answer to Banksy due to each of his pieces being motivated by hot societies ills such as refugees, homelessness, street kids and the elderly (C215 Wiki). His stencils are layered with elaborate strokes of elegance which gives each of his pieces such depth and intricacy needed to convey the emotions in his subjects.
